Every day we receive questions like ‘Where does my confidential waste go?’ and ‘How do I know it’s secure?’

Let me answer those questions…

Is it secure?

YES!! It is totally secure. Each year, we are audited by NQA to ensure our compliance both to our own ISO 9001 system and the specifications set out under EN 15713. What this means is that, the facility, equipment & machinery, vehicles and staff all meet the required standards. With 18 CCTV Cameras surrounding the inside and outside of DGD, we operate the largest and most secure destruction facility in Ireland.

• All our vehicles are slam locked and fitted with a GPS tracking system.
• Our staff are professionally trained and Garda vetted.
• We operate a same day shred policy.
• Destruction Certificate provided after material is processed.

Where does it go?

Once the paper is securely transported to our Destruction Facility in Raheen, the material is loaded straight onto a conveyor belt. Here it mixes with other paper and gets transferred into the Industrial Shredder. Our Industrial Shredder can shred up to 5 tonnes per hour.

After all the material is destroyed, it is the baled and shipped for recycling to the UK.

How often are DGD Shredding in Kerry?

Our Off Site shredding van is in Kerry every two weeks. We provide confidential shredding services to a number of high profile clients, in places such as Tralee, Castleisland, Kilarney and Dingle.

What services are available to Kerry?

We have a number of different services that can be tailored to your requirements.

On Demand Services – For purge or on demand Kerry shredding services;

Step 1. Call 1850 491 333 and speak to a member of our sales team.

Step 2. Request the number of secure shredding bags you would like to be delivered. (Bags are provided free of charge.)

Step 3. Fill the bags with your confidential material in your own time.

Step 4. Contact a member of our sales team and organise a collection date.

Step 5. Say goodbye to all that paper.

Step 6. A Destruction Certificate will then be issued along with the invoice.

Regular Services – For more frequent shredding services in Kerry;

Step 1. Call 1850 491 333 and speak to a member of our sales team.

Step 2. Request the number of secure shredding consoles you would like to be delivered. (Consoles are provided free on loan.)

Step 3. Shredding consoles are serviced on a four weekly cycle. (Can be more frequent if required.)

Step 4. A Destruction Certificate will then be issued along with the invoice.

How do you charge?

We charge by bag, box, console, or weight if required. For larger amounts, we can arrange for a member of our sales team to call to your premises and agree a set price upon undertaking a site visit.

We also have regular On Site and Off Site Shredding Services in Cork Galway, Waterford  and Dublin

We provide secure shredding consoles free as required. These can be placed a various parts of your building and can only be opened by a member of our team. There are several options to choose from:

• Shredding Bags and Cable Ties
• Shredding Consoles – Designed to fit neatly amongst office furniture.
• 240 Litre Shredding Bins

Our schedule is then set, based on your own company’s unique document destruction needs. Once the process is completed, you will then be issued with a Certificate of Destruction along with an invoice.

 

On Demand/Purge Service Pricing 

This is based on the total quantity of material shredded. However it also depends on whether you require On Site or Off Site.

This type of service is ideal for customers looking for a bulk clear out at the end of the year or for any customers who are relocating. Once the bags or boxes are filled you can schedule a date for collection by a trained member of our team. If you are unsure of the total amount you have, we can provide a free consultation service where we can agree on a fixed quotation.

These methods eliminate the time-consuming process of shredding your documents in an office shredding machine, and both offer a more secure method for the destruction of confidential information.

 

Residential Services

We offer a free drop off service where you will only be charged per bag or per box. This service is best suited for home-owners or small offices who have a small amount needed to be shredded. Our office is open Mon-Fri  8:30-17:30.

Shredding Supplies

Why not order your shredding supplies today?

Whether it’s Regular or On Demand we tailor our services to meet your needs. The shredding bags and cable ties are provided free as required. Once the bags are full, a member of our staff will come and collect them, at your request.

We also supply securely locked Consoles, that are designed to fit neatly amongst the office furniture. These consoles can only be opened by a trained member of the DGD team. Many of our customers choose these consoles when they don’t want their confidential paper waste just been left in a bin, open to the public.

If your looking for something with a bit more storage capacity, we can supply securely locked and easily transportable bins for inside or outside the office. These bins can also only be opened by a member of our staff and are provided free on loan.

Our shredding supplies include two different types of shredding bags. One for magnetic media destruction and the other for confidential paper. This allows for both of them to be managed separately and therefore enhances the security.

A Certificate of Destruction will then be issued along with the invoice within a few days after the destruction.
